Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Unit​

This unit is responsible for disseminating a culture of quality, evaluating performance, implementing and monitoring evaluation procedures and academic accreditation programmes and institutions, as well as documenting efforts and results in all quality activities by collecting data and information on an ongoing basis, as well as preparing reports on performance levels and the satisfaction of beneficiaries of various activities.

Committee tasks:

  1. Strategizing and developing public policies for development and quality at the college level.
  2. Propose initiatives to support quality and academic, research and management development in the college.
  3. Evaluation of the reports of the evaluation and academic accreditation activities of the College.
  4. Coordination with quality coordinators in scientific departments, monitoring the quality level of the college.
  5. Propose what is needed and recommend the activation of procedures for continuous improvement of the college's quality performance.
  6. Review reports on all challenges and difficulties related to quality and development and propose solutions to them.
  7. Review the reports and direct them to the relevant authorities after their approval by the College's Agent for Quality and Development.
  8. Discuss all subjects referred to it by the College's Agent for Quality and Development.
  9. Examine the other acts referred to it, submit appropriate proposals or take appropriate decisions within the terms of reference granted or authorized by the authority holder in writing.
  10. Develop policies and encourage the activation of measures to motivate College employees to participate in the University's Awards for Excellence.
  11. Examination of the reports of the interim awards committees and excellence in scientific departments.
  12. Prepare the application file for the category of community responsibility in the name of the college, upload it on the e-link of the award and deliver the file to the secretariat of the award in the Deanship of Development and Quality after its discussion and approval in the College Council.
  13. Provide technical support and development recommendations and return files to candidates in a confidential manner after the award is announced at the university level.
  14. Participation in the development and follow-up of the College's strategic plan.
  15. Preparation of funding plans for projects and programmes of the plan's annual operational plans with relevant stakeholders.
  16. Propose alternative and subsidized sources of funding for expenditure and sustainability of the plan's projects.
  17. Follow up on the work of the plan's implementing bodies and write reports on performance indicators and completion rates, compare them with the target and submit them to the Dean of the College.
  18. Study the impediments to the implementation of the plan, propose solutions and good alternatives, and modify the plan flexibly and continuously.
